There will often be changed conditions on shared use paths and footpaths along the project corridor. At times we will need to close paths or use detours.

Here you will find details of all construction activities that impact on shared use paths.

English Street bridge has re-opened. Cyclists and pedestrians can use the northern footpath.

Mascoma Street under the Tullamarine Freeway

Moonee Ponds Creek Trail – under Pascoe Vale Road outbound exit ramp adjacent to Strathmore Secondary College

We have changed the alignment of the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail adjacent to Strathmore Secondary College to complete works.

Mickleham Road

Eastern footpath closures and pedestrian detours on Mickleham Road under the Tullamarine Freeway

Mount Alexander Road footpath

What to expect:
We will be temporarily closing a section of the Mount Alexander Road footpath.

Wallace Crescent

What to expect:
We will be temporarily closing a section of the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail to complete work.

Flemington Road / Mt Alexander Road interchange

Timing:
9 February to 25 February 9pm - 5am and 11am - 5pm

What to expect:
Overnight and day roadworks at the Mount Alexander Road/Flemington Road intersection will require lane closures on some nights and days which may affect on-road bike lanes. During the day the path will be closed between 11am and 5pm. For the safety of cyclists, cyclists will need to cross Mt Alexander Road and continue along the west side of Mt Alexander Road and cross safely back onto Flemington Road. A new shared user path connecting Mt Alexander Rd to Flemington Rd will open the weekend of 25 February.

Detours and footpath closures

Moonee Ponds Creek Trail

The Trail crosses under the CityLink and Tullamarine freeways in a number of locations. We will need to close sections of the Trail to safely carry out widening works.
